As a Lead Process Engineer, you will lead teams of process engineers for assigned projects and studies. You will report to the Process Department Manager regarding forward manpower requirements and career development for your team. You will report to the Project Manager for their assigned project / study with timely delivery of reports, presentations, drawings, calculations and datasheets. You will work closely with engineers of other disciplines and the client to support them in making appropriate technical decisions for the project.

Suitably qualified in Chemical Engineering from a recognised institution, ideally you will have proven experience working in a similar Lead Process / Principal Process Engineering role, supported by 15+ years of relevant design engineering experience within the Oil & Gas production and / or processing industries. Your relevant experience participating in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL rating studies is essential.
In addition, you will:
1. Be recognized as an expert in Process engineering and have knowledge of advanced principles and techniques of engineering, with experience delivering within a challenging and complex multi-discipline environment.
2. Be a leader of people with several years of supervisory experience, capable of engendering an entrepreneurial spirit of cooperation and energising diverse teams to adopt best practice, driving optimal performance with safety at the heart of everything we do.
3. Have a professional level of knowledge of relevant regulatory framework and legislation with an ability to apply relevant technical practices, codes, and standards.
4. Be commercially astute with a “solutions mindset”, skilled in the management of risk during the design process consistent with safety, technical and commercial requirements.
5. Be an articulate communicator (both written and verbal) including well-developed technical report writing and professional presentation skills.
6. Have excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, spreadsheets, and commercial engineering programs (HYSYS, Dynamic HYSYS preferred).
7. Have a passion energy security / transition with the vision to navigate energy models of the future, coupled with your proven experience partnering with clients to be more efficient, sustainable, and optimised to deliver the best energy mix in their respective markets.
