About the role
The role of Development Control Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of land use compliance and regulation services to protect and enhance both the natural and built environment.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Bachelor degree in Environmental Health, Town Planning, Building Surveying, Investigations or relevant field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
* Demonstrated knowledge in the interpretation of the Local Government, Environmental Planning and Assessment Legislation, along with investigation skills using as such.
* Demonstrated ability to prepare formal reports and correspondence relating to planning and building legislation and court report preparation experience.

Other important information
* The salary range for this position ranges between $85k - $103k plus 11.5% superannuation.
* This is a Permanent full-time role.
* This role will be able to access a 9 day fortnight.
* We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role - 2 days work from home and 3 days on site.
* This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building.
A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $207.31 per week ($10,780.12 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.
Council may create an eligibility list from this recruitment process and may utilise this eligibility list to fill other permanent or temporary vacancies.
