Job DescriptionWe are a fast-growing high school coaching hub and currently looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our team. Prior tutoring experience is preferred, and all you need to be is passionate about helping kids and be highly competent in the area you're working in. Training will be provided. We need admin staff to help with office duties, resourcing, organizing students and tutors.Some basic knowledge of the HSC subjects: Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Economics, and English will be seen as a bonus (mainly to assist with enquiries).If you are successful, you will be offered a highly competitive hourly rate and guaranteed minimum hours per week.What will you be doing?The vacancy is for an administration/personal assistant. It will be a support function, so there will be regular and ad hoc tasks involved that are critical to helping our tutors, students, and parents.Some of these tasks involve:Assist with all queries at the Reception desk – this involves fees, payments, enrolment forms, and taking down appointments and messages for staff.Contact parents of late arrivals.Assisting with fee payments.Relief reception – manage enrolment forms, all incoming and outgoing calls ensuring all messages are distributed and visitors directed.Assist with filing/archive filing.Assist in opening and closing of business (turn on and off of all lights and aircon/heater, set up projectors and laptops, cleaning and tidying up classroom after use, etc).Assisting with the organisation of team events.Answering and directing incoming phone calls to relevant staff.Greeting and directing parents and new customers.Responding to questions and requests for information (i.e., Students, Staff, Parents, Visitors).Data Entry.Scanning and printing of students' booklets, quizzes, tests, and any other documents required.Other duties as required (e.g., marking of homework/quizzes, printing, resourcing).Be expected to work at least 3 days a week (approx. 4.5 hrs starting at 3.30 pm for weekdays and negotiable hours for weekends), which can vary depending on your timetable (although we will try to accommodate as best we can, it'll need to be flexible around business needs). During uni breaks, there will be a fair amount of work available for the motivated and those with the right skill set.Qualification(s) requiredA great deal of the work we perform requires specific knowledge of the education system in NSW. As a result, it helps when applicants have completed the NSW HSC. Being able to speak Mandarin/Chinese would also be helpful.To succeed in this role, you will need to be able to critically think on your feet, not just follow processes.Because of some of the technical questions you can be asked, you will need a minimum mark of:85+ for HSC Adv Maths.Be willing to travel to our location in Glebe, which is conveniently situated 10 mins by bus/light rail from Central Station; 20 mins walk from USYD.Ability to commit a minimum of 8 hours per week.Open-minded to the training we provide and how we do things, reliable, confident, able to work without supervision, and punctual.Job Types: Part-time, ContractContract length: 48 monthsPay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hourExpected hours: 5 – 15 per weekBenefits:Professional development assistanceSchedule:Afternoon shiftEvery weekendMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplementary Pay:BonusApplication Question(s):What year did you complete the HSC (or equivalent)?
