We are proud of the fact that we provide our members and guests with the latest and greatest styles whilst delivering a world class retail experience.The RoleThe National Golf Club is looking to engage a full time Safety and Facilities Officer to join our friendly and dedicated team.The Safety and Facilities Officer is responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant working environment while also overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of Clubhouse buildings, plant, equipment and other facilities. This role combines workplace health and safety (WHS) responsibilities with facility maintenance duties to promote a strong safety culture and ensure that all Club assets are maintained to the highest standards.Key responsibilities include:Development, implementation, and monitoring of WHS policies and proceduresConducting workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessmentsInvestigating workplace incidents, near misses, and hazards, and implementing corrective measuresCarrying out preventative and general maintenance tasks including patching and painting, servicing taps, and minor repairsManaging the approval process for Repairs and Maintenance for both Clubhouses and on-course hutsRisk Management, including conducting and reviewing Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS)About YouThe successful candidate will have the following skills and background:Qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related fieldPrevious experience in facility maintenance, safety officer, or a similar roleStrong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and best practicesExperience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and investigationsExperience in conducting general maintenance, repairs, and facilities upkeepFull working rights in AustraliaThe successful applicant will have excellent organisational skills, display initiative, and act with professionalism at all times.The following would be considered desirable skills for the successful candidate to possess:Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety (or equivalent)Trade qualifications in construction, electrical, and plumbingFirst Aid and CPR certificationExperience in emergency response coordinationHolding current tickets and qualifications including White Card, Working at Heights, and Confined SpacesWhat we offerThis is a full time role which will require you to work primarily at Cape Schanck and occasionally at Long Island.Stable working environment with a great teamTraining and development opportunitiesWe foster an environment of belonging, celebrate diversity at the Club and make hiring decisions based on experience, skill, and passion.
