What you will be doing As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: Ensuring a safe workplace by identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in compliance with OH&S legislation and company policies.
Managing and coordinating site operations to achieve production targets, quality assurance, budget control, and effective resource allocation.
Leading and developing a team of nine staff, including mill operators and maintenance personnel.
Maintaining compliance with environmental, HACCP, and Feedsafe standards.
Overseeing inventory control, raw material supply, and production planning to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving strategies to optimize site operations.
Handling customer service activities, including inquiries and complaint resolution.
Monitoring and reporting on plant performance, including equipment efficiency and downtime.
Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial controls.
What you will need To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following: Demonstrated experience in managing, leading, and developing employees in a production environment.
Strong understanding of OH&S, QA, and statutory management standards.
Experience in production planning, control, and measurement methodologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in computer systems, including MRP2 and ERP environments.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
A valid drivers license and flexibility to travel regionally if required.
Understanding of mechanical equipment and maintenance practices.
