Your responsibilities will include:
o Delivering evidence-based midwifery care and providing exceptional patient experience to women and their families
o Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team
o Ensuring patient and staff safety
o Supervising, directing and guiding midwifery/nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Assistants in Nursing (AINs) to deliver patient care
o Delivering education and support to mothers and their families
o Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA
o Current NSW Working with Children Check
o Proven experience in a similar role
o Special Care Nursery experience advantageous
o Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
o Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
o Excellent communication and customer service skills
o Works well independently and within a team
o Compliance with NSW Health Policy PD2020_017 Occupational Screening, Assessment & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker
o Basic computer skills

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ – Enterprise Agreement 2020-2024, a salary ranging from $35.46 – $49.79 per hour.
