The Commission is the dedicated national regulator of NDIS service providers in Australia and a non-corporate entity under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013.

People and Culture Division The People and Culture Division delivers high quality workforce services that support NDIS Commission employees to uphold the rights of NDIS Participants to safe and quality supports.
The People and Culture Division has a strong focus on employee safety and well being, enhancing the capability of our leaders, building organisational resilience, prioritising Diversity and inclusion and fostering a culture of respect.
The Division is made up of three sections that support the Deputy Commissioner People and Culture to deliver organisational workforce services: People Services, People Strategy and People Initiatives.
About the role The Assistant Director People Communications provides support across the spectrum of workforce services and functions, ensuring consistent messaging that promotes the value of our employees and fosters a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
The successful candidate will be capable of working with a broad range of channels and mediums to deliver communication collateral and activities and will have strong working knowledge of accessible communication requirements, delivering internal communication and change activities and working in a government context.
Duties Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Develop strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders, anticipating and assessing their strategic communication needs to ensure coordinated and consistent messaging at the right time Provide expert communication advice regarding people and culture topics around best-practice communication approaches that contribute to the delivery of the NDIS Commission's strategic priorities Contribute to strategic and operational planning/improvements for the Branch and Division Develop internal communication strategies, activities and collateral, in conjunction with subject matter experts.
Collaborate with peers and subject matter experts to ensure an informed, accurate, strategic and coordinated approach to internal communication and engagement activities.
