Position SummaryThe AIT Administrator in Training will learn overall facility operations to provide leadership in quality patient care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Key areas include: financial operations, human resources, customer service, business development, and clinical operations. Will be expected to uphold policies pertaining to patient care, caregiving, and support staff, financial control, public relations, and maintenance of physical plant through consultation with the facility management team. Will learn budget management to meet facility needs and division goals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.Education, Experience, and Licensure RequirementsMinimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or universityActive state license in good standing as a Nursing Home Administrator or be eligible to sit for exam after AIT TrainingThree (3) or more years' successful post acute care experience preferredCertification with American College preferred (ACHCA)Specific Job RequirementsRead and interpret financial records and reportsMake independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actionKnowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facilityImplement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the departmentPerform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitationMaintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential informationUnderstand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance proceduresDisplays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance trainingEssential FunctionsEnsure facility is compliant with all Federal, State, local, and JCAHO requirements as well as serve as the facility’s Compliance LiaisonEnsure facility is clean and safe for the comfort, convenience and safety of patients, families, and staffServe as effective representative for company so facility is viewed as provider of choice in that communityEnsure census goals are metPrepare and operate within annual budget (approved by RVP and DVP)Effectively supervise teamExhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patientsAssist in the evacuation of patientsDemonstrate dependable, regular attendanceConcentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgmentCommunicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary teamSit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hoursRead, write, speak, and understand the English languageAdditional InformationThis program requires relocation after completion.Completed bachelor's degree is required.2-3 years of management experience in long term care is required.An Equal Opportunity Employer
