About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled, driven, and enthusiastic Client Relationship Manager. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will be collaborating closely with all departments within our business as well as serving as the primary commercial contact to a handpicked portfolio of key customers. Your key objective is to ensure customer satisfaction and retention whilst ultimately delivering growth – you will achieve this through exemplary account management of our existing customer base, paired with a strategic approach to new business selling and pipeline generation. Responsibilities: Act as the strategic 'Growth Business Partner' to Nationwide's NSW/QLD State Manager. Build and maintain strong business relationships with existing clients, regularly initiating and leading growth-driven commercial conversations. Be the main point of contact for a selected portfolio of key customers, engaging proactively to address enquiries, resolve concerns, and provide timely support. Develop and implement strategies to ensure satisfaction, retention, and organic growth of delighted customers within your portfolio. Identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities, partnering with key internal departments and stakeholders to capitalise on them and achieve business growth. Oversee regular monitoring and analysis of customer job volumes, revenue, and overall trading patterns. Take the lead on pricing management, contracts, and overall commercial health of customers within your portfolio. Collaborate closely with the Head of Business Development to design solutions and make commercial decisions that will drive growth and profitability, including new business strategy. Gather fresh market intelligence and identify opportunities for new business growth. Design, lead, and measure continuous improvement initiatives that deliver value for key customers. Seek referrals from existing customers as a means of generating new business opportunities. Identify, implement, and lead operational improvement initiatives as necessary, collaborating closely with key internal departments and stakeholders to drive optimal customer performance and outcomes. Diligently maintain accurate, up-to-date customer & opportunity information within our CRM. About You: Outstanding attention to detail Strong customer focus and understanding High level commercial acumen and understanding of B2B sales processes. A BD all-rounder with willingness and capability both to 'farm' and 'hunt' business growth. Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Passion, energy, and determination to drive success both for Nationwide and our customers. Excellent time management and organisation skills – works well autonomously when needed. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong negotiation skills, and assertive as necessary to influence required outcomes. Proficiency within the Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate Level). Competence in CRM and project management software. Results driven, with a track record of exceeding targets. Knowledge and experience in sales, customer relations, account management, or a similar role in a transport & logistics environment will be highly regarded.
