Experienced Primary School teachers with thorough curriculum knowledge in one or more areas are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline and recent teaching experience would be an advantage. Teaching experience as either a generalist classroom teacher or a specialist teacher is considered appropriate. Initially the pool will seek to fill positions for English, Health and Physical Education, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Technologies, Mathematics and Early Childhood Education, other positions may also become available with later commencement dates. Where positions are part-time, it may be possible for applicants to be appointed to two positions to work full-time.

The Principal Consultant, Primary - Curriculum and Assessment manages and provides leadership for the development and review of curriculum, assessment and standards support materials for Kindergarten to Year 6. This position will involve the development and review of curriculum, assessment and standards support materials developed by the Authority, together with responsibility for using processes and meeting deliverables related to the project of adopting and/or adapting the Australian Curriculum version for the Pre-primary to Year 10 Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.
Successful applicants should have good communication skills, strong time management and organisational skills, and the ability to develop documents collegially, with a focus on internal timeframes. The position supports communication and collaborative processes between systems/sectors, schools and other stakeholder organisations to share and generate ideas and monitor and review implementation processes.
