Join a high-quality & inclusive workforce as the Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor.Your new companyThis regional Council is seeking to appoint a temporary Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor (at the earliest convenience) to lead a collaborative team, proactively manage high risk building related matters and ensure Councils statutory obligations are effectively and efficiently delivered. Join a team of professionals and be a progressive leader in ensuring safe construction practices are upheld throughout one of Victorias largest and most diverse communities.Your new roleAs you report to the Municipal Building Surveyor, you will also be responsible for:Oversee the management of cladding related matters, enforcement & compliance.Provide a high level of technical advice and manage high-risk building items.Work closely with the Building Services unit, leading and managing a team of approximately 15 staff members.Collaborate with management to identify and implement process improvement strategies.Advise Council on building safety matters and best practices.
