Role Description
We are looking for a Data Analyst with a strong background in Tableau, Power BI, Azure Data Factory, SQL, Python and ETL processes. As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights, enabling informed business decisions.
Responsibilities
1. Work closely with multiple teams across the organisation to provide data analyses and actionable insights that assist in the development and execution of their respective roadmaps.
2. Develop and maintain data models that are the foundation for various analytical and reporting needs.
3. Define both strategic and operational metrics in conjunction with teams and ensure their accurate tracking and reporting.
4. Execute a wide range of data analyses to uncover insights, patterns, and trends that support business objectives.
5. Utilise Microsoft Power BI and Tableau to create insightful and actionable visualisations.
6. Build data pipelines and data reporting services that take unstructured data and structure it in such a way that it can be digested and used to make decisions and reporting.
7. Apply a variety of visualisation techniques and design the content and appearance of information and data visuals to generate insights, create value and support decision making.
Key Skills and Experience
You’ll be great in this role if you…
1. Have 5+ years in similar Data/Insights Analyst positions.
2. Proficiency in complex SQL & R for data querying and manipulation.
3. Experience with Tableau and Power BI for data visualisation and cross team presentations.
4. Strong background in ETL processes and data integration.
5. Expertise in data modelling and dimensional data modelling for effective data representation and analysis.
6. Proficient in writing and optimising SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from various sources.
7. Experience with Oracle/SQL/Azure databases to extract, transform, and load data.
8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Creative and exploring new ways to model data and insights across the business.
10. Innate analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to ask the ‘right questions’ to provide interpretation of the data.
11. The confidence to approach multiple departments in the business to present and action findings.
