The Companies, Registered Liquidators and Small Business is the team primarily responsible for ASIC's role in relation to the regulation and supervision of companies and small business to ensure sector adherence with the laws administered by ASIC and the promotion of market integrity.
The Registered Liquidators (RL) function within the team is responsible for promoting market trust and confidence in registered liquidators and the work they undertake. This is achieved through thematic surveillances that improve compliance, inform regulatory guidance, and improve data available to the public through our insolvency statistics.
The team also contributes to policy development, education, RL sector liaison and other activities to support and change behaviour that can enhance RL practices.
The role
As a Senior Analyst/Lawyer – Registered Liquidators, you will
Lead risk-based supervision projects to ensure legal adherence and better outcomes for stakeholders impacted by insolvency. Collaborate with the Senior Manager on thematic reviews and surveillances to identify regulatory issues and propose solutions. Lead and manage sector engagement initiatives, building and managing relationships with stakeholders. Collaborate with the leadership team on sector strategy, priorities, and regulatory strategies. Manage or assist with policy and law reform implementation, including new guidance, training, systems, and processes. Create various written communication materials, including reports, presentations, briefing notes, and website content. Mentor and supervise others to ensure quality outcomes. Deliver expert administration support, governance, resource management, business planning, and data reporting services. Work collaboratively with other ASIC teams on enforcement and compliance matters. About You
Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Data Analysis, or Law. Desirable: CA ANZ, CPA, IPA, or regulatory experience. Desirable: Experience in external administration, investigations, and reporting. In-depth sector knowledge, relevant legislation, and professional standards. Deliver strategic priorities through stakeholder engagement and innovation. Strategic thinking and analytical skills to identify trends and risks. Experience delivering quality outcomes, managing risks, and using resources efficiently. Superior writing and clear, concise, persuasive communication. Strong analytical, investigative, and research skills, including data analysis. Develop strategic relationships to utilize data and information effectively. Highly developed conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Senior stakeholder management experience, influencing, and utilizing networks.
