Band 6 Salary: $91,663.12 –$99,412.18 plus 11.5% superannuation

We're searching for an experienced Senior Strategic Planner to join our Regional City Planning Team.
About The Role
Join our team in providing a corporate approach to strategic planning which ‘adds value’ to the built and natural environments.
Additional position objectives:
· Proactively and strategically assist in the development of planning policies, dissemination of information and evaluation of land use issues within Latrobe.
· Assist in the development and management of specific Land Use Strategies that are required from time to time and ensure that they conform to the Latrobe Planning Scheme.
· Assist in achieving compliance with, and where appropriate, influence, Latrobe City’s statutory obligations, and strategic and business plan objectives.
About You:
You will possess highly developed oral and written communication skills, including a high level of analytical skills, relating to Strategic Planning.
You’ll have acknowledge and experience of a range of matters relating to Urban and Regional Planning, including those specific to strategic land use planning.
You will have the skills to assemble information for reports, panel hearings, consultants, information requests etc as required.
You'll need:
· Qualifications (Degree or Diploma) in Town Planning suitable for corporate membership to the Planning Institute of Australia and/or.
· Experience in urban and regional planning at the local government level.
· Current Victorian Drivers Licence is desirable.
