General/Business Unit Manager (CEO & General Management) Full time CTST is a vibrant and growing not-for-profit charitable community organisation whose vision is that everyone has access to community transport.We specialise in providing reliable, high quality and safe transport to older people and people with a condition preventing them from undertaking daily activities.CTST's impact is delivered via a workforce of over 350 passionate people (with the majority being volunteers), over 90 vehicles, modern and sophisticated systems, great attitudes, and most importantly, we are consumer directed.At CTST, we value diversity and promote a workplace culture that is committed to driving innovation, collaboration, professionalism, and respect.This is an exciting time to join the organisation, as we have recently entered into a merger partnership with Mersey Community Care Association, and we look forward to the opportunities this collaboration presents for expanding our services and enhancing our support for members of the Tasmania community.About the Position Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager Business Services will be responsible for providing exemplary leadership of CTST's Finance & Administration, Fleet Management, Technology and Asset functions statewide and provide oversight of the day-to-day management of Cafe Connect.The Executive Manager Business Services will play a critical role to ensure CTST's ongoing development and growth: Lead CTST's financial and budget processes, supporting the development of informed business decisions, identifying strategies for cost reduction opportunities, and partnering with operational managers to build their financial skills.Ensure financial integrity, drive sustainable growth, and enable CTST to achieve optimal service outcomes.Develop and implement financial and operational strategies that align with CTST's vision and goals.Produce management reports, conduct financial analysis in accordance with accounting standards, and provide support to the broader finance team in their day-to-day activities including fortnightly payroll and end of month processes.Provide oversight of Fleet operations, identify opportunities for optimisation, maximum efficiency and impact, and ensure compliance with Passenger Transport Accreditation.Lead the formulation and execution of CTST's technology and asset strategy, ensuring the organisation is equipped for scalability, security, and reliability.Effectively oversee CTST properties and tenancy agreements while coordinating service contracts and external contractors to guarantee that all sites are well-maintained.Manage a geographically dispersed team, guiding them to ensure productivity and alignment with CTST's objectives. The role is classified as Level 8 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (SCHADS) with the benefit of salary sacrifice options.About You This role requires a blend of financial expertise and a collaborative coaching style to foster a culture of transparency and continuous improvement: A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position at a comparative level.Strong people leader, who can lead and mentor a geographically dispersed team, fostering a collaborative environment with values-based decision making.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across organisational teams in different regions to promote organisational cohesion and achieve CTST's objectives.Sharp commercial acumen and strategic thinking abilities as well as being well-versed in finance, technology and asset management.Exceptional time management, communication, and administrative skills with the ability to coordinate service delivery across the State.Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate with service providers, funding bodies, and to liaise with workers and organisations in both the government and non-government sector.Detailed knowledge of statutory requirements in relation to service delivery, and particularly the Aged Care Act and Aged Care Quality and Safety standards.Experience in managing contracts, projects, tenders, resource planning & forecasting and familiar with project management methodologies.Demonstrated ability to increase the commercial value of respective business streams in an environment of change.Demonstrated experience in effective risk management, coupled with strong problem solving and analytical skills.Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting (CPA/CA certification is desirable).Must be an Australian Resident or hold an Australian Working Visa.
