This is a contingent position based upon contract award What You'll Do In the role of Generator Specialist, your duties will include: Installation and Commissioning: Oversee the installation and commissioning of generator systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of generator systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Diagnostic Testing: Perform diagnostic tests to identify issues in generator systems, utilizing specialized tools and equipment for accurate assessments. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and prepare reports for management review. Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others. Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training to team members and other personnel on the proper use and maintenance of generator systems. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and equipment, ensuring availability for timely maintenance and repairs. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently. Requirements: Must be a US or Australian citizen Must have a US Secret clearance, or an Australian NV-1 clearance Must have a minimum of five years of experience as a generator specialist Must be a Certified Generator Mechanic (Note: CAT is strongly preferred) Must be a Certified OEM Generator Operator (Note: Preferably CAT certified) Must be capable of troubleshooting small and large generators (i.e., Cummins, FG Wilson, Agrrekko, Caterpillar) Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements. Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
