Every dollar our team donates is matched and together we have donated more than $33m to our charity partners.We offer generous team member discounts across The Good Guys and JB Hi-FiYou will have exposure to ongoing training & development opportunities from day oneWe offer fantastic long-term career opportunities across the broader JB Hi-Fi/The Good Guys groupAbout the roleAs the National Transport Operations & Planning Manager you will play a key role in the leadership of the Transport Planning Leads and the wider Transport Team and act as a support for the Group General Manager Transport and support the overall productivity, cost and quality for all delivery services performance goals on a national level.Role responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Leading the day-to-day operations, performance and conduct of the team, through providing clear role accountability, coaching and directionCollaborating with the Group GM Transport to set and drive the organisational Transport vision, operational strategy, and resourcing needsTranslating the national transportation strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth, assisting in the implementation of organisation-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operational planningEnsuring monthly reporting, review analysis of transfer and delivery network utilisation, service & costs including freight recovery opportunities/recommendationsAs COR Champion advise the Group of leading practice COR, road transport requirements, incident investigation, monitoring of changes to legislation and accreditation and enforce carrier compliance against Chain of Responsibility and JB Group safety obligationsDesign and implement activities/processes related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportation to ensure successful deliveries, carrier compliance and an optimal customer experienceManage the contractual relationship with all carriers and ensure obligations are met on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basisEnsure effective sourcing, onboarding, continuous training, and performance management of delivery service providers (DSPs)About youTo be successful in the role you will have:8+ years of experience managing large operations and teams, within home delivery, logistics, transportation, operational planning, warehousing, or related fieldExperience in retail and/or e-commerce environments, essentialStrong experience in transport planning and schedulingA strong aptitude to work in a fast-paced environmentComprehensive knowledge of the transport industry, transport equipment and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements such as Chain of ResponsibilityStrong experience in leading and building large (and geographically dispersed) teamsStrong computer literacy and exposure to general software packages (such as Microsoft Office Suite) and warehouse software (such as Oracle, SAP, AS400), including transport management systemsStrong financial and business acumenComfortable embracing change, resilient in overcoming challenges, and flexible in adjusting priorities, all whilst maintaining a proactive approach to continuous improvementBachelor’s degree in business or logistics, desiredTo ApplyIf you are interested in this exciting opportunity with us, please click apply and upload your CV.
