The facility operates 24 hours per day 7 days a week and are one of the main providers of health services in the region.
They facility also provide outreach services to Hopevale, Laura and Wujal Wujal.
A little about the role: We are seeking a Podiatrist with a minimum of 5 years' post-graduate experience for a community locum role in Cooktown, QLD commencing in early August.
You will work across their acute ward, aged care and renal and within the community performing general foot & nail care and high risk foot care.
You will have significant experience in high-risk foot care and ideally a background in rural, remote practice with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island health experience.
There will also be a requirement to provide outreach services to outlying communities.
Duties you will be responsible for: Provide assessment and treatment to caseload.
Provide high quality patient care.
Work independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with team and patients.
Skills and Experience: Full AHPRA registration.
Relevant tertiary qualification.
Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience.
Significant high-risk foot care experience.
Background in rural, remote practice with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health experience advantageous.
Appropriate rights to work in Australia.
