The General Surgeon (Breast Surgery) will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the general surgery service in the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District (ISLHD).The Surgeon will handle a diverse caseload, including both general surgical procedures and coverage for the Illawarra Breast Screen Service.We are seeking a dedicated surgeon to provide high quality general surgery services to emergency patients, inpatients and outpatients within the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District, as well as maintain the Breast Screen Service locally.The position holder would be expected to contribute to the Wollongong General Surgery On-Call roster or cover General Surgery VMO absences.As this position is leave relief only, there is no ability to build a wait list.The General Surgeon (Breast Surgery) Will Proactively: Support the development of general surgery servicesSupport and facilitate a culture of learning and best practiceSupport and develop General Surgery research within the departmentEnjoy a healthy work-life balance with Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.
