Collie Senior High School (SHS) is looking for an enthusiastic Library Officer to join their school.
As a Library Officer you will be responsible for the provision of reference information and maintaining the resources, environment and associated services of the school library to support the learning outcomes of students. The Library Officer also administers the library systems ensuring library records are up to date and library resources are maintained and processed so they are accessible and available to students and staff at all times.
The successful applicant will ideally be a lover of books who is able to inspire students with a love of reading, create a welcoming atmosphere in the library and collaborate with other staff to promote reading throughout the school. The successful applicant will ideally be a great communicator who is approachable and able to display the capacity to work cooperatively with others to create a welcoming and vibrant library environment for students and staff. A sound understanding of school library systems, processes and stocktakes would be an advantage, however, training will be provided.

2. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
3. Ability to use computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
4. Ability to provide administrative support and organise and prioritise tasks effectively.
