About the role
You will use your skills to provide specialist school nursing services for students with disabilities and complex health needs and their families within the Support School setting. You will work in partnership with students, families and carers together with the wider community and other agencies to meet health, development and safety needs. You will be welcomed into a highly supportive team-based environment and have opportunities to contribute to achieving the wider goals of the School Health Nurse Program. This might include active involvement in clinical education, clinical management, safety and quality and practice development.
Period of Appointment: Permanent - ASAP Start date
Hours per fortnight: Up to 76 hours per fortnight
Salary: $90,293.00 to $96,428.00 +11% superannuation
Starting salary may be negotiated commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Relocation assistance : support for travel, relocation and initial accommodation costs may be considered.

Essential Requirements
13. Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.
• Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status - Employment).
Desirable Requirements
14. Relevant postgraduate health qualification or other postgraduate Paediatric qualification.
15. Current drivers licence.
