Flinders Medical Centre is looking for it's next Consultant Psychiatrist - Perinatal to join it's Adult Mental Health team!
Mental Health Services is a Division of the Southern Adelaide LHN, providing a range of inpatient and community mental health services to the population of the southern metropolitan area of Adelaide based on key directions and planning derived from federal, state and local policy and priorities. The perinatal service provides specialist advice and care to obstetric inpatients and to pre-and post-natal outpatients in Adelaide’s south.
About the role:
The Consultant Psychiatrist – Perinatal will at times be responsible for:
3. Perinatal clinical services in the Division of Mental Health SAHS.
4. Providing a consultation-liaison service to inpatients and outpatients.
5. Teaching to staff of this Division.
About you:
6. Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
7. Extensive clinical experience relevant to work in adult psychiatric practice.
8. Clinical ability in the speciality o perinatal psychiatry.
9. Ability to work within and provide leadership for a multidisciplinary team.
