About The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be part of the business executive and will be responsible for leadership of the service delivery of the Aged Care service offering. This role will ensure the Residential, Retirement and Home Care offerings operate efficiently and effectively in alignment with the mission and values of the organisation. Fostering a culture of accountability and successful outcomes, the COO will provide clear guidance to the care delivery team and cultivate a customer- focused and adaptable workforce.
In addition to the essential criteria, you will also be responsible for:
* Operational management of the SCCT business to deliver best practice, drive outcomes that have a client first approach.
* Contributing to the collaborative delivery of the strategic plan through the development of strategic directions.
* Spearheading change initiatives to establish a proactive service model and organisational framework that caters to the present and future requirements of the community.
* Creating an environment that encourages others to explore alternative ways to view and solve problems.
* Fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaborative people management and a commitment to high standards of service and quality care.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in aged care.
About You
This role would be suited to an accomplished professional and well-rounded Human Services Executive, with comparable functional experience gained in a fast paced, complex care environment. You will have executive experience gained in an Aged Care or broader Healthcare setting, in addition to.
* Extensive experience overseeing the operational management of a care services setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of the aged and provision of residential, retirement and home-based aged care services
* A demonstrated ability to manage multiple service lines and conflicting stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of the Health and Aged Care Sectors, External Agencies including funding and policy protocols, accreditation and industrial legislation
* Demonstrated sound financial management knowledge and skills
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Experience with managing and implementing continuous quality improvement systems and projects
* Demonstrated knowledge of managing organisational cultural change
