The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing large-scale projects, overseeing the development of construction plans, tracking progress, and ensuring quality and cost control. You will work closely with Project Managers and consultants to manage schedules, identify risks, and handle contractual claims and variations. About the role: Lead and manage the development and review of comprehensive construction plans while ensuring adherence to quality standards and cost estimates throughout the project lifecycle. Authorise and coordinate construction planning and programming, ensuring on-site completion schedules are met. Collaborate closely with the Project Manager to ensure key milestones and deadlines for project phases are successfully achieved. Monitor and enforce compliance with performance specifications, ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required standards and contractual obligations. Identify, assess, and cost abnormal risks within tender documents, proactively addressing potential issues to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets. Prepare and formulate major contractual claims and maintain effective communication with consultants regarding project design plans, variations, and resolution of any discrepancies or changes in scope. The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience: Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent. 10 years of post-graduate experience within a Principal Contractor environment. Experience in managing hard-dollar projects. Detailed knowledge of head and subcontract agreements pertaining to specific projects. Demonstrated ability to drive the program to meet project objectives.
