Your role and responsibilities To strengthen and grow our Competence Center in Australia, we are looking for a passionate Engineering and Service Manager for the Local Traction Division in Australia and New Zealand. If you have a keen interest in leading a team, promote and demand individuals and helping to shape the leadership culture, this is your chance. In this role, you will manage a team for engineering and service to deliver high quality, cost effective and timely engineering and service solutions to customers and production site. You need to formulate plans, allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. Initiate, coordinate, drive and oversee team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and service capability. Moreover, you need to implement Service strategy and drive Service growth for the local division level. You will be leading the Service organization and be responsible to achieve performance targets and to optimize the utilization of service resources. Work model for the role is: Onsite Reporting to Local Division Manager, this position will be based in Fraser Coast, Queensland, Australia. You will be mainly accountable for: • Lead and mentor the local Engineering and Service team in Australia, developing capabilities and competencies while ensuring integrity, safety, diversity, and inclusion. • Improve service availability, provide training, and drive strategy implementation, fostering collaboration with global teams. • Build sustainable customer relationships, develop service offerings, and coordinate with project management and supply chain teams to meet contractual obligations, including successful testing and commissioning. • Manage performance targets, ensure adherence to HSE and integrity standards, and oversee budget management. • Implement productized service offerings, develop marketing materials, and invest in service sales to increase market penetration.
Qualifications for the role Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, with several years of leadership experience in Engineering and Service. Expertise in innovative power electronics and traction technology, ideally in industries such as trains, mining trucks, and other heavy vehicles. Strong endurance and assertiveness to lead, grow, and enable an Engineering and Service team. Excellent communication skills to effectively solve complex organizational and technical challenges.
