This opportunity is for a Medical Officer to provide on call cover overnight and on weekends. You will have a lot of flexibility with the option to work as many or as few shifts as suits you. This role would ideally suit a local GP keen to maintain their skillset in the acute hospital environment alongside their other roles.The Medical Officer is responsible for:Providing medical assessment and clinical care to hospitalised patients.Ordering and review of investigations.Completion of comprehensive patient admission assessments in a timely manner.Consultation with VMOs regarding patient condition and plan of care.Provide effective first line management during medical emergencies.Skills and ExperienceTo be successful in this role, you will possess high level communication & clinical skills as well as be a great team-player.You will demonstrate the following selection criteria:General Registration with AHPRARecent acute hospital experienceCompetent in ALS with current certification.Competency in Paediatric ALS would be highly regarded.Ability to obtain a Medicare provider number.What’s in it for you?Discounts: Ramsay Rewards - Access great deals at over 100+ major retailers.
