Our shared commitment to professional excellence continues to keep our customers safe.As an Aircraft Projects Engineer, you will be working within a specialist team of Engineers and Technical Officers to develop and deliver aircraft interior products and modifications for strategic projects on Qantas Group aircraft.
This will involve developing design documentation to meet customer requirements, vendor proposal assessments, liaising with stakeholders and vendors to meet project milestones and ensuring compliance with certification and regulatory airworthiness requirements.You'll have–Professional Engineering degree qualifications in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Avionics, Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Structures or equivalent industry experience or qualificationsProvided timely customer-focused specialist engineering advice and support to the Qantas Group, another airline, aircraft manufacturer, supplier or related consultancy.Thorough working knowledge of CASR Part 21 & Part 42 regulations.
An understanding of EASA and FAA regulations is desirableExtensive aviation engineering experience, preferably with a background in cabin interior product development and working knowledge of seats, monuments, galleys, lavatories, furniture, customer bars, lighting, systems and IFECManaged small/medium/large design projects or tasks to meet complex stakeholder requirements within tight schedules, budgets and other parametersHighly developed skills in problem solving and analytical thinkingDemonstrated adherence to strict compliance and safety regulationsAbility to manage expectations of customers in line with relevant service level agreementsDetailed knowledge of procedures and processes for continuing airworthiness of Qantas and/or other customer aircraftSound organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise conflicting tasks in order to meet strict deadlines while maintaining excellent attention to detailSelf-motivated with a strong team spirit and passion for aircraft interior productsProficient with Microsoft and Project Management tools, and working knowledge of Engineering workflow and maintenance tools including Smartsheet preferableExcellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interpret and translate complex technical information clearly and concisely.Why Qantas?You'll join a team where creativity and passion are encouraged.
