Maas Group Holdings (ASX - MGH) is a multi-national conglomerate experiencing sustained growth across its key business units of Property Development, Civil Works, Plant Hire, Construction Materials, Electrical and Underground Mining & Tunnelling.
As a Graduate Town Planner within the Planning and Projects team, you will contribute to the delivery of MGP Residential projects. You will work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment on various projects across regional NSW for MGH. Your role involves direct interaction with business stakeholders, consultants, and council throughout the entire development process from concept to completion of works.
The Graduate Town Planner Position is a full-time role based at Newcastle or Sydney. The position requires occasional travel to various sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
* Interpret relevant local and state government planning strategies, policies, directions, and legislation.
* Review building design documentation, drawings, and reports to ensure acceptable development aligns with MGP aims and objectives.
* Coordinate fee proposals and technical advice for various developments and their approval pathways.
* Prepare Statement of Environmental Effects and coordinate supporting documentation and reports for proposed development.
* Undertake desktop site analysis and research related to town planning provisions, development opportunities, and constraints.
* Coordinate application submission to relevant authorities as required.
* Provide technical support and assistance to sales and delivery teams as needed.
Requirements:
* Degree qualifications in a planning-related area or other suitable planning qualifications.
* Current Australian Driver's License.
* Reading and understanding technical drawings and diagrams.
* An understanding of NSW planning codes, Australian Standards, and the NCC.
* An understanding of Architectural and building terminology.
* Proficient oral/written communication skills, including the ability to write complex and/or technical reports in plain English.
