Job Title: Senior Finance Officer, External Budgets and Systems Division Overview: Corporate Services and Operations provides corporate and governance support across the Directorate and our broader portfolio which includes the Suburban Land Agency and the City Renewal Authority. The Team You Will Work In: Strategic Finance supports the Directorate through the provision of a financial framework supported by financial reporting, accounting operations, and coordination/input into the annual budget and estimate functions. Duties / Responsibilities: Under limited direction, the Senior Finance Officer, External Budgets and Systems main responsibilities are, but not limited to: Support the administration of the Directorate's Financial Reporting system (TM1). Support the co-ordination and preparation of annual external budget statements, including management of inputs and GBMS adjustments. Prepare half yearly, annual statement of performance, and other related reporting requirements. Input for the financial statements and annual report where applicable. Manage top-down budget allocations. Oversee and manage the team mailbox and relevant registers. Assist in the development and review of business cases, ensuring appropriate reviews and approvals. Undertake consultation and coordination across the Directorate and with other government agencies. Research, draft and prepare complex correspondence such as reports and briefs. Support the development and implementation of financial controls and policy frameworks. Contribute to the delivery of the unit's common business goals and objectives. Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Mandatory: Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field. Highly Desirable: Professional membership (or currently working towards) of CPA Australia/CAANZ or comparable bodies.
