As a pastoral care volunteer, you’ll be actively involved with a local Christian church.We are seeking a Pastoral Care Volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman living in Mona Vale. Our client would value regular companionship and conversations around his strong history of Christian faith. Our client was a lecturer; he enjoys chatting about sports, travel, history, and other experiences. He will benefit from having a pastoral care volunteer visit him.You’ll supplement and complement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction, you may:Support people to meet their spiritual needs.Skills required for this role:High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training - Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.Spiritual Care Series North Turramurra - Face to faceWhen: starts Wednesday 7th May, concludes 2nd July 2025.
