Burnie GP Super Clinic, a privately owned, accredited medical practice in Cooee, is seeking a highly skilled, enthusiastic and mature Practice Manager to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Remuneration will be commensurate with award-based qualifications and experience.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Supporting the effective functioning of the practice's organisational and clinical governance structuresContributing to business planning and budget development, and managing operations in line with budget goalsLiaising with the Board, GPs, nurses and receptionists, and providing administrative support where neededManaging the recruitment and onboarding of nurses and medical receptionists, and managing performance and development opportunitiesWorking with The People Project and Primary Health Tasmania to ensure the practice's GP workforce is appropriately qualified/registered to perform their rolesDeveloping and maintaining positive professional relationships with visiting health professionals and other practice stakeholdersSupporting the clinical team to maximise clinical software effectiveness through accurate and thorough data entryMonitoring billing practices and billing policy effectiveness from both a compliance and business viability perspectiveUnderstanding the requirements for and leading the compliance, continuous improvement, quality and accreditation programs, including Workplace Health and SafetyDeveloping and implementing effective marketing strategiesManaging day-to-day operations including maintenance of practice infrastructureCollecting and providing accurate information to bookkeepers for payroll processingExperience & Licences Current Driver's licence (essential)Experience working in a general practice or other health service (desirable)Sound knowledge of Best Practice software, or similar (desirable)Diploma of Professional Management/Cert IV Practice Management (or willing to obtain, with employer support)Understanding of local health alliances and Medicare (desirable)Skills & Attributes Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong organisational and time management skillsHigh level of computer literacy, and ability to troubleshootAbility to work effectively within a team environment and autonomouslyTo Apply Applicants should submit their CV, 2 referees and cover letter via SEEK, including details about how the applicant's skills, experience and attributes align with the role requirements.
