Title: PC Test Analyst
This position is for a temporary engagement through our staffing partner DZConneX (Yoh Services). The anticipated duration of this engagement will vary.

PC Test Analysts at PlayStation are responsible fordeveloping specific test strategies for PC titles, and collaborating with functional testing teams and the Network, Compatibility, and Performance Lab to ensure robust testing coverage for these titles. You have deep knowledge of PC platform requirements and best practices, and are excited to share the knowledge to raise the bar of quality of our PC titles.
PlayStation Studios QA supports all of the PlayStation Studios. We work closely with Naughty Dog, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch, Bend Studio, San Diego Studio, Santa Monica Studio, Guerrilla Games, Haven, Media Molecule, Neon Koi, Team Asobi, Bluepoint,Firesprite, Firewalk, Nixxes, Housemarque, Valkyrie Entertainment, Polyphony Digital, along with many ambitious external studios through XDev.

The PC Test Analyst is expected to support the PlayStation Studios QA department in all areas including:
What you will be doing:
1. Provide subject matter expertise and educate staff on PC operating system interaction, Steam client functionality, Epic client functionality, and performance testing applied to multiplatform title development
2. Continued learning and development of subject matter expertise; provide training and guidance to test staff regarding PC OS and Hardware testing best practices
3. Directly interacting with Studios and Business Leadership to communicate strategy, risk, and product impacts
4. Create and share test plans on pre-release versions of PC software
5. Assessing product functionality against SIE quality standards
6. Researching and documenting product defects and performance metrics
7. Applying knowledge of intermediate to advanced networking principles and PC, and gaming / functionality elements
8. Collaborating on test efforts and partnering with our Networking, Compatibility, and Performance Lab team
9. Promote new test strategies between project disciplines, including Functional Testing teams, Engineering groups, and other service providers
10. Risk analysis on assigned titles and/or new services or processes
Desired Skills:
11. Intermediate level understanding of PC gaming hardware and the associated technologies
12. Excellent general awareness of QA and games industry preferred
13. Strong PC building experience
14. Strong experience / understanding of GPU video graphics cards and display resolutions
15. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
16. Excellent written and verbal communication
17. Ability to work in both an individual and team environment
