Job Role Summary
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer with experience in electrical and gas appliances to work in the North Birmingham area. This role involves repairing and servicing domestic appliances according to high standards and health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Ensure all paperwork is accurate and up-to-date.
* Inspect job sheets for necessary parts and collect them for daily calls.
* Maintain an updated inventory of van stock.
* Clean and present the vehicle supplied, carrying out routine maintenance checks to uphold company image.
* Plan routes efficiently, noting times from job sheets.
* Be polite and courteous to customers, providing high-quality work to encourage repeat business.
* Clean up any mess caused by the work performed at customer properties.
* Aim to complete as many calls as possible on the first visit.
* Wear company-provided uniform at all times.
Required Skills and Experience
* Thorough knowledge and qualifications in electrical and gas appliances.
* Ability to use technology effectively.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Field Service Technician.
* Strong diagnostics skills, with evidence of fault-finding and repair of domestic appliances.
* Experience working with various branded products (e.g., Bosch, Beko, Hotpoint, Whirlpool, Glen Dimplex, Miele, Electrolux).
* A full, clean driving license.
* Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds 224, City & Guilds 2365, 17th Edition) preferred but not essential.
