PERSOLKELLY is seeking System Engineers to join the Local Council Information Technology Division. Your main duties and responsibilities will include: The Systems Engineer will be a technical professional, responsible for the design, development, delivery, and management of solutions in a hybrid (cloud and internal) environment. Provide thought leadership around business improvement, technology implementation, and people and process management to all levels of Council across Systems Engineering activities - changes, incidents, storage, networks, applications, security, infrastructure (cloud and internal), lifecycle management to ensure that the Information Technology Services Section delivers on co-design of services with the community, a whole-of-Council approach to integrating service delivery, and an innovative view of Council's long-term opportunities. Lead major incident management responses, including stakeholder management, post-incident review, documentation, etc. to ensure the availability, functionality, performance, reliability, and security of cloud and infrastructure services to meet current and anticipated future business requirements. Develop and foster strong relationships and partner with stakeholders. Effectively manage assigned project elements across project lifecycle stages. What are we looking for? Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, and/or substantial equivalent industry experience. Formal qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in the discipline of Service Management (ITIL). Expert knowledge in a number of key technologies, for example: Windows Domain environments employing Microsoft Exchange, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADDS, GPO, Certificate Services, and Active Directory Services. Cloud services e.g. Microsoft Azure, Project Online, SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365. Enterprise data protection technologies e.g. Dell PowerProtect Data Manager and DataDomain. Scripting e.g. Powershell, Bicep, and Azure Infrastructure as Code. Server & Desktop virtualization e.g. VMWare vSphere, and Microsoft Hyper-V. Networking technologies e.g. Cisco, WAN, Azure Virtual Networks. Application Delivery Controllers e.g. F5 and Azure Application Gateway.
