Job Summary This company is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician (Fabrication, Welding & NDT) for the Mechanical Services Shops Department (MSSD) in Abqaiq, within the Planning and Technical Services Division. The role involves providing hands-on experience, work direction, technical guidance, and supervision for work crews involved in the fabrication, welding, and repair of plant pressure vessels, piping, and auxiliary equipment. The technician may also serve as a mentor if required. MSSD boasts state-of-the-art workshops and facilities driven by its most valuable asset: the department's skilled and experienced workforce. Its primary responsibility is maintaining this company's rotating and stationary equipment. The department plays a vital role within the company, providing support to all field organizations by maintaining and repairing corporate equipment. Responsibilities: Provides work direction for a crew of 6-10 craftsmen, ensuring quality control and productivity. Reviews work requests to plan assignments and determine material and tool requirements. Requests materials, tools, and equipment through the SAMS system or Maintenance Planner. Performs administrative duties as Group Head, including report writing and record-keeping of welding work. Offers technical advice to lower craftsmen, operations, and maintenance for planning T&Is or large fabrication projects. Ensures adherence to safe welding procedures and company standards. Conducts on-the-job training and mentoring for lower qualified craftsmen, maintaining records of training accomplishments. Troubleshoots and analyzes complex projects to determine repair requirements, nature of repair, and whether repairs will be conducted in the shop or field. Requirements: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 10 years' experience in fabrication, welding, and NDT fields as outlined in the position description. Experience serving as the technical authority concerning all fabrication, vessel maintenance, equipment installation and repair, and/or testing, inspection, and welding. Responsible for directing and controlling the work of 6-10 Welders, Pipefitters/Fabricators, and Field Metals Mechanics in projects involving fabrication of pipe spools and structural steel assemblies or repair of plant piping and equipment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
