Our client is a major chemical manufacturer for agricultural chemicals.Currently expanding their team and looking for an Environmental Engineer to help assist their team in HSE.As an Environmental Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental programs within our chemical manufacturing facility.You will ensure that our operations comply with environmental regulations, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives to minimize the ecological footprint of our processes.This role requires a combination of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and a proactive approach to sustainability.Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm On-site parking Training provided $45.86 an hour On-going work Key Responsibilities: Environmental Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, and state-specific requirements).Monitoring and Reporting: Conduct regular environmental audits and assessments, monitor air, water, and soil quality, and report findings to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.Waste Management: Develop and implement programs for the safe handling, treatment, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.Process Optimization: Work closely with production teams to identify opportunities for reducing waste, emissions, and energy consumption within manufacturing processes.Sustainability Initiatives: Lead sustainability efforts, including water conservation, energy efficiency, and the use of sustainable materials in production processes.Training and Education: Provide training to employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices to foster a culture of environmental awareness.Environmental Impact Studies: Lead or assist in conducting environmental impact studies for new processes, products, or facility modifications.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain up-to-date records of environmental monitoring, compliance reports, and incident investigations.About You: Bachelor of Environmental Engineer - essential At least 1-2 years experience in environmental engineering Regulatory knowledge Technical skills Advanced skills in Microsoft Office tools Ability to follow Australian standards of health and safety for chemical manufacturing If you this suits your environment, please apply.You can also send your CV to ****** Looking forward to contacting you if successful
