Job Description:
The Survey Draftsperson plays a pivotal role in generating clear, comprehensive, and precise working and detailed plans. These plans are derived from rough or detailed sketches, electronic methods, or notes.
The responsibilities of this position encompass the preparation of various plan types, including survey, cadastral, topographical detail, as constructed, town planning, and environmental plans, as well as subdivision design and associated calculations.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, preferably in surveying or equivalent, and demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of drafting experience within the surveying environment. Intermediate to advanced skills using AutoCAD (mandatory) and acceptable competency levels with other survey software such as SurvaCAD, Magnet, 12D, Civil3D, or similar are also required.
Familiarity with GIS software such as Mapinfo, Arcview Global Mapper, or similar, and experience with Queensland cadastral drafting processes/SurvaCAD are highly regarded. Key Responsibilities
* Generate clear, comprehensive, and precise working and detailed plans
* Prepare various plan types, including survey, cadastral, topographical detail, as constructed, town planning, and environmental plans
* Develop subdivision design and associated calculations
* Work closely with planners and surveyors to contribute to the success of projects from inception to delivery
* Maintain RPS' positive reputation in the market
* Assist in risk management and identify major project risks/rewards
* Leverage available tools to provide value-added services to clients
* Undertake any other reasonable requirements for the Survey Team
Requirements
* Completed or undertaking an undergraduate degree in surveying or equivalent
* Demonstrated drafting experience within the surveying environment
