Your impact An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our NSW Planning and Environmental Approvals team. The role is suited to an experienced environmental professional looking to play a lead role in the delivery of the environmental planning, impact assessment and regulatory approvals of significant projects across the renewables, energy storage, transport and water sectors. In this role, you will work with a team comprising both highly experienced professionals and early career stage consultants that will support you to grow and develop professionally. You will: Develop your consulting, project management and technical skills through delivering a range of environmental consulting projects. Work with clients throughout project planning phase in the preparation of environmental constraints reports, scoping documents, review of environmental factors, environmental impact assessments and statutory planning submissions. Scope and manage environmental studies and surveys. Prepare high quality environmental approvals documentation and environmental management plans. Have access to career development framework to guide your career growth as you receive coaching and mentoring from industry leaders in a work environment that values diversity, flexibility and professional development. Mentor and coach early career stage professionals. Work in a team that is part of national practice, enabling you to work on projects across Australia with our 285 strong Environmental Solutions business. We offer genuine flexibility including hybrid (home/office) working arrangement to promote work-life balance and the role can be full time or part time to suit your needs. The role can be based in either our Sydney or Newcastle office and the role may be required to work out of our client’s office at times. Here's what you'll need We are looking for an enthusiastic and values driven individual that has experience delivering planning and environmental approvals in NSW. You will have: A degree/post graduate qualification in environmental science, environmental planning or related discipline. Good years’ experience in environmental planning, impact assessment and approvals. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of New South Wales and Commonwealth environmental planning legislation.
