Key duties include:Scheduling and managing appointments to optimise clinic flow.Coordinating with patients to provide updates and address inquiries.Maintaining accurate patient records.Handling essential tasks related to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), including processing claims and assisting with paperwork.Providing general office support, managing communications, and organising files.You will need:Demonstrated experience in a reception and administrative role with well-developed skills in office management and patient information systems.Ability to work effectively without supervision, both individually and as a team member.Strong organisation and follow-up skills, with the capacity to adapt and prioritize work to meet deadlines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to cooperate within a small team of health care providers.Understanding of and ability to contribute to quality improvement activities.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.The Team:OPST is located in the spacious Repatriation Hospital site, part of the Royal Hobart Hospital. You will be in a diverse and energetic team of 17, including Orthotists, Prosthetists, Physiotherapists, Orthopaedic Technicians, and Administrators. We pride ourselves on patient-centred care.Details of appointment:Permanent, part-time, day worker position, working 45.6 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies for twelve months from the date of publication.Salary:$64,125 to $68,925 per annum (Pro rata).
