We are looking for an Apprentice Chef to join our busy team.
Our kitchen works at a fast pace and work schedules will include weekends and public holidays.
You will need to be passionate about food, career-driven, and a team player.
Training for an apprentice cook covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients, use of commercial equipment, and kitchen procedures.
Your main duties include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals.
2. Training to learn procedures and duties in food preparation.
3. Working under the supervision of the chef.
4. Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens, and stoves.
5. Serving food when required.
6. Kitchen cleaning, such as dishwashing and equipment cleaning, sanitation.
7. Assisting in other areas of food preparation and storage.
The ideal candidate will:
1. Have a passion for the food industry.
2. Be punctual and reliable.
3. Have flexibility to work different shifts.
4. Be well presented.
