The role: The Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) is a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Our nurses play a key role within the large multidisciplinary team to provide high quality diagnostic imaging and interventional radiology to the Tasmanian community.DMI is seeking compassionate, highly adaptable nurses with a passion for learning and teaching who demonstrate advanced communication and teamwork skills.The Registered Nurse strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe quality, clinically appropriate nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families and other health professionals.Department of Medical Imaging (DMI): The Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) provides diagnostic and interventional radiology service for the Tasmanian community across multiple modalities including ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine, fluoroscopy and angiography.We provide a Monday to Friday service and 24/7 on-call support for emergency interventional procedures.The Department of Medical Imaging (DMI) is a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a large multidisciplinary team including radiologists, radiographers, sonographers, Nuclear Medicine Technologists, administrative staff, and hospital support officers.As a team, we value a culture of respect, accountability, growth, and safety with the patient at the core.DMI offers structured training pathways to upskill our team across all modalities, including Angiography.Staff are required to wear lead aprons when working in Medical Imaging.Details of Appointment: Multiple permanent, full-time or part-time fully rotational shift work, with an on-call roster positions working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.*Notwithstanding hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time and part-time vacancies.Salary: $75,902 - $102,908 (pro-rata) per annum.Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.You'll have access to salary packaging and a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum.Access to the Grade 4 salary range $96,558 - $102,908 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023.
