Are you a dedicated and passionate Education Assistant looking for a rewarding opportunity?
Morawa District High School is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2024 school year.
As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will be required to assist in the delivery of high quality, student-focused learning programs. In this role you will ideally collaborate and work well in a team environment, possess good written and oral communication skills enabling implementation of individual or small group programs with both primary and secondary students, and provide support to ensure the learning environment is inclusive and relevant with the health and safety of students being a high priority.
Suitable applicants will ideally have experience in using direct and explicit instruction and the ability to manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies and programs.

12. Complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within 6 months of appointment.
13. Complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement.
14. Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy.
Education Assistants working with Kindergarten students may be required to have, or be actively working towards, a Certificate lll in Education Support (or approved equivalent) in order to meet the educator-to-student ratio outlined in the National Quality Standard for Early Childhood Education and Care.
