In partnership with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia are currently seeking a Seamsperson to join the team at the East Sale RAAF Base, supporting our National Clothing Stores Services (NCSS) contract.
This is a full-time role working Monday – Friday.
Reporting to the Site Leader, you will be an essential member of our stores and warehousing team working along customer services, stores and tailoring professionals that support Ventia’s Defence National Clothing Store Services contract.

Key Responsibilities:
5. Measure and fit customers for clothing items
6. Perform duties of sewing ranks, insignia, and badges to Defence specification
7. Sewing duties including hemming, alterations, and Medal mounting
8. Customer service and record keeping of customer orders
9. Use of computer systems
Key Skills & Attributes:
10. Experience in hand stitch and sewing machine clothing alterations.
11. Basic computing skills
12. Experience using heavy duty sewing machines - Desirable
13. Experience working in a team/Customer Service environment - Desirable
14. High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management
15. Scheduling workloads and meeting production deadlines
You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
