An opportunity has become available for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist (Pain Medicine Physician) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 10,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.About the roleProvide clinical specialist pain medicine support to the Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Integrated Clinical Service (EPPICS), making a substantial contribution to the development of a culture of medical education and safe, effective patient-centered clinical practice.Requirements for the roleEvidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening - to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.MBBS or equivalent registrable with the Medical Board of Australia plus FFPMANZCA or equivalent acceptable to the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and registrable as an Anaesthesia and Pain Medicine specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Relevant qualification/s and registration must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Strong clinical and teaching experience in the management of pelvic pain would be highly regarded.Salary informationPermanent part-time (10 hours per fortnight)Estimated total remuneration up to $62,252 p.a., comprising:Senior Staff Specialist: Base hourly rate from $120.51 - $127.77 p.hStaff Specialist: Base hourly rate from $100.78 - $117.06 p.hUp to 12.75% employer superannuation contributionMotor vehicle allowanceProfessional development allowanceGranted private practice rightsEligible health workers may qualify for a Workforce Attraction Incentive payment.
