12 months CONTRACT with potential extensions Hybrid working arrangement Daily Rate: $900 (inc SUPER) ROLE OVERVIEW We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of major rail planning projects. This role is pivotal in guiding projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and high-quality outcomes. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Oversee rail planning projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget and adherence to strategic goals. Manage project lifecycles, from corridor identification to appraisals, following the Project Assessment Framework (PAF). Develop project plans, scoping documents, and procurement materials. Coordinate and guide technical consultants for studies and investigations. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Lead and participate in project governance meetings, prepare minutes and agendas, and deliver presentations. Provide technical advice on rail and transport infrastructure. Draft project communications, briefing materials, and correspondence for stakeholders, including senior government officials. Identify and mitigate risks, maintain risk registers, and ensure comprehensive project reporting. Mentor team members and contribute to productivity improvements. MORE ABOUT YOU Proven experience in rail planning or infrastructure design. Strong track record in managing complex transport planning projects. Knowledge of the Project Assessment Framework (PAF). Expertise in stakeholder engagement across all levels. Proficiency in risk management, quality assurance, and budget adherence. Ability to navigate complex environments and independently make informed decisions. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and manage probity issues.
