About the Role Reporting to the General Manager of People & CX, this is a parental leave contract and will be responsible for all of Accent Groups recruitment across all our retail brands and support offices. You will play a critical leadership and hands-on role in building strong talent pipelines for senior level and highly specialised positions in addition to owning sourcing strategies, monitoring recruitment budgets and driving key recruitment initiatives and projects throughout the organisation. You will have a deep understanding of the retail talent landscape and a passion for recruitment and talent management. The key responsibilities will include the following: Operational: Own end to end recruitment efforts and processes across all Support Office departments while supporting Retail when available, including but not limited to: Developing job briefs and updating job descriptions in line with Hiring Manager’s expectations. Advertising job vacancies in relevant market channels and directly interact with candidates and respond to initial queries. Conduct initial candidate screenings and interviews and refer qualified and selected applicants to specific department and organise further interviews Work with Hiring Managers to ensure the prompt arrangement of interviews, reference and background checks, in order to ensure the efficient facilitation of the complete interview process. Track and manage candidate job submissions through the recruitment process. Adherence to fair employment laws and practices Own and manage the VISA, Sponsorship and PR Application process across the group with our immigration partners Run regular and accurate recruitment reporting for board reports and senior management Leadership & Business Partnering: Provide leadership, consultation and strategic direction to hiring managers and HR business partners regarding recruiting trends, concerns and opportunistic hiring possibilities. Provide appropriate and consistent communications with hiring managers, executives, and candidates to ensure transparency and awareness throughout the interview process. Providing counsel to hiring managers during assessment and evaluation of candidates by acting as the primary closer when negotiating complex offer packages typically including base, bonus, long-term incentive compensation and other benefits. Act as the primary contact for all external recruitment agencies. Lead the recruitment team and business with respect to best-in-class recruitment. Train and support recruiters in correct recruitment processes. Encourage open lines of communication between yourself and recruitment team. Lead a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, analysing performance and giving appropriate and prompt feedback, including actively managing poor performance. Support team with career development, conducting regular appraisals whilst motivating, growing and developing your team into high performers. Create a fun, positive and dynamic atmosphere for your team and your customers every day. To be successful you will ideally have the following skills & experience: Demonstrated at least 5 years experience as a senior Recruitment / Talent Acquisition leader ideally in the retail industry. Experience with leading key recruitment projects such as volume hiring, recruiting for new stores and brands while influencing change. Experience utilising HRIS, ATS/AMS, Sourcing and Recruitment Marketing tools. Ability to lead, motivate and develop a high performing, customer centric team. Strong ability to thrive in a fast paced and high-pressure environment. Competitive drive, strong work ethic and motivation to learn, grow and succeed. Passion for recruitment and candidate management. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strong listening and a solid business sense. Ability to work well in a team environment and multitask to prioritise workload. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and partnering capabilities to drive outcomes at speed. Experience in developing talent pools in core and critical areas to support business growth.
