Student & Academic Services Officer Bentley, Perth, Australia As a Student and Academic Services Officer, you will work as part of a team to deliver services that support the academic experience and overall well-being of students. The role is responsible for providing high quality administrative and services support across a broad range of academic and student services and administrative functions.This role involves collaborating with academic departments, faculty, and administrative staff to ensure the successful implementation of programs to support student engagement and success.This is a full-time on-campus position with operating hours (8.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday).Key Duties:Reception / Customer ServiceProvide high quality support for the College reception including responding to telephone, email, in-person enquiries, and general correspondence on a range of student related matters.Welcome visitors.Assist with managing the diaries of academic and support staff including scheduling student appointments.Assist in management of academic calendar of events and activities.Provide information to students relating to programs/courses, academic policies and procedures, program progression, miscellaneous study, transition to University and other student academic matters.Provide administrative and secretarial support to various academic and student committees.Assist with College/Campus Orientation, Graduation and student experience activities.Process student requests for replacement documentation (Archived students, Offshore partners).General Administrative management/supportMaintain accuracy of student records with version control over program structure.Assist with timetabling, invigilation, quality control and conduct of examinations.Maintain accuracy of student records and cleanse data for regulatory reporting.Manage course and program progression rules in business systems.Student progression and records managementAssist with the management and coordination of examination processes including assisting in the preparation of exam timetables, processing of deferred examination applications, rostering, supervision and training of invigilators.Assist with the enrolment/re-enrolment and associated activities.Assist with student progression, completion and transition processing.Assist with the administration and reporting of student and graduate satisfaction surveys and course and teaching evaluations.Process results, changes to grades, terminations, academic status and unit appeals, awards, merit scholarships.Process requests for enrolment variations, deferral, withdrawal in accordance with policies.Process students’ variations to enrolment and maintain accuracy of Confirmation of Enrolments (CoEs), Extension of CoEs, Service taught units, terminations & variations from PMs. - Deferrals/LoA/Withdrawals.Assist with the planning of graduation ceremonies and orientation.Staff/Student supportDevelop and maintain strong and effective relationships with all stakeholders.Provide advice to students relating to College/Campus policies and procedures, program progression, transition to University and other student administrative related issues.Undertake student monitoring duties including retention and performance calls as directed.Assist and engage in student extra-curricular activities to enhance student experience.Monitor the welfare and safety arrangements of Under 18 students as directed.Other duties as required.Essential Criteria:Experience in student administration/student services in the tertiary education sector.Demonstrated administration experience with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.Commitment to exceptional customer service.Excellent problem-solving skills with a solution focused attitude.Strong interpersonal, relationship building and communication skills.Excellent written communication and digital literacy skills.Desirable Criteria:Completion of a post-secondary qualification(s) and relevant work experience.Empathy for and experience in working with international students.If this opportunity could be your next ideal career move, we would love to hear from you!Diversity and InclusionCurtin College promotes and embraces an inclusive and diversified workforce.
