Reporting to the State Sales Manager, this opportunity requires independently managing business development for the state through specifications and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
In addition to customer visits, the role includes administrative duties such as safety management, sustainability, project management, new product innovation, and strategic planning.
The position also requires occasional overnight travel, typically twice a month, with stays ranging from one to three nights.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drive sales and profit growth by building relationships with key asset owners, acquiring new business, and re-engaging dormant accounts.
2. Manage the Queensland project list, identify new customer opportunities, and work with teams to deliver specifications for major projects.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with fabricators, builders, consultants, and asset owners to ensure customer satisfaction.
4. Ensure the correct specification of coatings, provide technical assistance, and address customer non-compliance issues.
5. Gather market intelligence, track competitor performance, and contribute to business strategies aimed at increasing market share and profitability.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need expertise in identifying and recommending corrosion prevention and remediation solutions based on client needs and industry standards.
You should be skilled in writing clear and precise technical specifications for corrosion-resistant materials and coatings, proficient in negotiating contracts, presenting technical solutions, and securing stakeholder buy-in.
Experience in managing multiple projects and ensuring timely, within-budget delivery using project management tools is essential.
Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve customer complaints and ensure long-term satisfaction are also required.
Join a compassionate and collaborative workplace where you can imagine a better place and make it a reality.
