Customer Engagement domain within Chief Technology Office.
How will I help?
This is a high-profile role complementing the customer engagement team and reporting to the Chief Architect of the area.
Working independently, you will assist in analysing business and technology landscape as is required to develop Architectural solutions and/or strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Participate in the analysis of Information Technology solutions to ensure effective solutions are delivered to the business.
Ensure accurate representation of business/technical requirements in solutions through collaboration with business users, technology groups and suppliers.
Track the Technology requirements across all phases and contribute to IT impact assessments to understand the impact of changes to requirements across all phases.
Contribute to the improvement of methodologies and processes for functional design activities to ensure continuous improvement of technology and business outcomes.
Adhere to the Westpac Group's methodologies, tools and standards to ensure consistency and compliance with Westpac standards.
Contribute to development of relationships with key senior business and technology stakeholders to provide input and approval during the development of solutions and architectural direction.
Provide technology advice and guidance to Senior Business and technology project stakeholders within a project to assist the business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions.
What do I need?
Significant senior Solution Architecture experience gained within the Banking domain is needed to be successful in the role.
Experience working with vendors and closely with internal and external customers at all levels.
Deep experience in designing customer centric originations and servicing journeys.
Experience in information security concepts and how they can be applied to deliver secure solutions appropriate for financial services organisations.
Experience in an eco-system of legacy applications that are undergoing modernisation activities, having navigated integration challenges with APIs, events, streaming, and batch.
Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture disciplines and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
Established knowledge of application hosting in either AWS, Azure or GCP and associate technologies and cloud native tools.
Knowledge of Programming languages: java, .NET, python.
Front end skills like react, next JS, node, JavaScript, micro front ends.
Highly developed leadership skills and experience, able to be a SME technologist and mentor and lead a team.
Advanced problem solving, analytical, and influencing skills.
Tertiary level qualifications in IT, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Highly developed stakeholder management and leadership skills, including facilitation and mentoring.
