About the Opportunity
We are inviting enthusiastic individuals to join our operations team as Qualified Chef to work in remote villages located in the Bowen Basin, approximately 2-3 hours inland from Mackay, QLD. Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality food and beverages to agreed menus and operating standards
* Maintain safe and hygienic food preparation and storage areas, including proper storage of food, equipment, utensils, and implements
* Carry out daily temperature checks of fridges, freezers, storage areas, deliveries, recording results and taking appropriate action if any fall below standard
* Develop excellent product knowledge and advise guests and staff accordingly
* Carry out work safely to company and statutory standards, including HACCP and ISO accreditations
* Work harmoniously with the kitchen team and other village teams
* Always apply safe work practices to contribute to the safety culture at Civeo
About You
* Certificate III or IV in commercial cookery qualification (or equivalent) - international qualifications must be Australian recognised and translated
* Demonstrated relevant work experience, preferably in the commercial hospitality industry
* Experience in remote work, high-volume, and fast-paced kitchens
* Competence in batch cooking across all service offerings
* Strong communication, time management, and organisational skills
* A great team player with the ability to adapt and work well under pressure
* Must be flexible to work across any shifts as required
* A national police clearance or be willing to obtain one
* Pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
* Proof of legal rights to work in Australia on an ongoing basis
* Current driver's licence (highly regarded)

A free scheduled bus service operates for Civeo employees who travel from Mackay - Bowen Basin QLD.
